Not sure this would go here or in OT. The people involved were visitors to a National Park, so I thought that they might count as customers.
Anywho, yesterday I had an awesome day up in the mountains swimming and cliff diving for my brother's birthday. There were multiple cliffs, the tallest being about 25 ft and others being around 1/2 that. The place was pretty crowded, mostly with douchebags showing off doing backflips and other jumps likely to get them killed (a lot of people have died at this particular place) or people standing at the edge of the cliffs (all of them, no matter the height) for upwards of 1/2 an hour psyching themselves out over jumping, effectively blocking the way for anyone who just wants to get in the damn water.
So, I love photography. I had my camera with me, and went to one of the shorter cliffs to get some photos of my friends jumping in. Any time somebody else was going I had my camera at my side, I didn't really care for any of the strangers around me so I didn't really want their pictures, and I made sure not to stand in the way of where anyone would want to jump. /background
One of the douchebags jumped right before my friends got to, and did a cannonball, making a huge splash then went up and soaked a girl standing on a tiny ledge next to my cliff. Then my friends go, I take four photos and head back up to the biggest cliff to jump. Once I've met up with my girlfriend, she tells me the douchebag that went before them said "Check it out, I'm gonna soak that guy with the camera!" to his buddies before he jumped.
I knew I was at risk of getting my camera damaged from a big enough splash, but this guy honestly planned to break my camera. Try harder next time, bro. I could use a new one, and I'm sure my girlfriend wasn't the only person on the crowded cliff that heard you say that.
