Yesterday and today I was at a class being held at a local upscale hotel by my work. It was the Doubletree, and if you've ever visited, then you know how nice they are. They offer complementary breakfast for the conference rooms, snacks throughout the day and they offer a complementary lunch as well.
The breakfast and lunch were good, they had excellent drinks (I really liked the V8 Fusion Strawberry Banana) and great staff.
But what got me were the people in the class with me. In the afternoon, they offered candies and other snacky stuff. Yesterday, the people picked over the candy as they left.
Today, they not only emptied the candy basket but the chips basket and refreshment refridgerators as well. I know the items were free, but there are other groups in the other conference rooms as well that were still there. I was appalled at the sheer greed.
