A couple of years ago, I had an ingrown toenail removed, my toe was heavily bandaged. After the procedure, I went to a pawn shop to see about an air conditioner. As i stood in line to pay for it, I noticed my foot kept sticking to my flip flop, I looked down to see that my toe was bleeding profusely, I was standing in a puddle of my own blood. I told the cashier what had happened and asked if they had a restroom that I could wash my foot off in, they said no.. I was about to ask if I could at least get something to clean up the blood and before I could even finish asking the question, they said no.. So I turned around and left, leaving bloody shoe prints behind.

don't see how you were sucky - if they can't even be civil enough to hand you a tissue or something to wipe it up, what are you supposed to do? take of your shirt and clean their floor? I'd say they got exactly what they deserved. (hope your foot was better soon).Quoth HappyFun Ball View PostA couple of years ago, I had an ingrown toenail removed, my toe was heavily bandaged. What A.B. said. Short of going barefoot or cutting a huge hole in a shoe to prevent further injury to the toe, a flip flop is a good suggestion.
OP, you were bleeding and you didn't know about until too late and couldn't help it. So unintended suck, and while messy, not a big deal. Sounds to me the store was too stuck on saying no to even bother hearing your second question. They did know you were bleeding onto their floor, correct? I can forgive the no bathroom comment, since the employee bathroom may be in a place customer's aren't allowed (in the hallowed back room, for example). But they could've at least offered a kleenex or something.

Yeah, my toe was bandaged and the bandage made it 3 times bigger than normal.. I would not have been able to wear my other shoes.. I was actually told by the Dr to wear flip flops to the procedure. When I got the other toe done a couple of weeks later I did go straight home as to avoid a repeat of what happen with the first toe.
I told them I was standing in a puddle of blood.. I don't know if they figured the puddle was on their floor or not. I can forgive the no bathroom rule too, what pissed me off is being cut off while trying to ask for something to clean up the mess I made.Last edited by HappyFun Ball; 09-15-2011, 06:21 AM.http://www.customerssuck.com/?m=20080203

You tried to help out with the mess, if they aren't going to accept that then there's not much else you can do, I don't think you were sucky about it.
Reminds me of the time i went to a gig and got my hip caught on someone's spiky belt. Not a big cut but annoying and I wanted to cover it (was wearing low slung jeans and a short t-shirt so skin on show) and I wasn't allowed to have a plaster because I could be allergic. The plaster I already had on one of my fingers couldn't convince them otherwise...My Crafting Profile http://www.craftster.org/forum/index...ofile;u=139859

When I have my ingrown toenails removed (yeah multi times, they even tried the methods that are supposed to keep em from growing back, doesnt work) I always have to wear flipflops. Only thing that will go on the foot. Fun when there is a foot of snow on the ground

um I buy special non latex bandages, because the ones that say "packaging may contain natural rubber latex" have almost killed me. So I could be wearing one of those, and the one someone else gives me could send me to the ER within minutes(which is why I ALWAYS carry my own), I'm that allergic to latex.Quoth Beki710 View PostI wasn't allowed to have a plaster because I could be allergic.
