I thought my last night sucked, but after hearing from one of our guests, I realize I can't complain.
This guest does sort of traveling relief for a certain brand of c-store, so he will stay here when he's covering shifts up here. He worked graveyard last night.
Drunk Driver (warning: sad)
The first (and possibly most epic) incident happened when an obviously very inebriated woman tried to purchase alcohol from him. He denied her. Unfortunately, his CW wasn't so bright, and sold to her. Our guest ran out and got her license plate number as she drove off and called it in.
She didn't get far. As far as the police can tell, she tried to get onto the interstate a block away, but missed, and managed to flip her car. She had three kids in the backseat. The kids were life-lined to the children's hospital in Seattle, and the EMTs weren't sure if they were going to make it.
(I did not hear the status of the woman.)
Three grab n' dashes
Our guest had to call the police on three separate incidents due to people grabbing beer and making a run for it.
Dazed and confused
Our guest had to call for aid when a lost and confused woman stumbled into his store. She was half-dressed, with torn clothing. She didn't know where she was or who she was. It appeared that she had been drugged, and possibly raped.
And to finish it all off
His boss and a CW were supposed to relieve him. His boss is a volunteer firefighter, and had to respond to a fire, so he was delayed. His CW called in sick. So his crazy shift ended a few hours after it was supposed to.
Icing on the cake
His supervisor called. "Since you'll be in the area, you can run the audit for the store up there on Monday!" Guest hates running audits. Guest is not happy.
