Drive-thru sighting

This past week I was getting breakfast before class at Mcdonalds. It's a small town, so there's very few options, so there was a bit of a line. I had just finished paying and was starting to pull forward to the next window to get my food when a car that had been in the parking lot cut in front of me to get to the window first. The worker started to hand her my food but she was thrusting a cup at him so he took it. A little while later he gave the cup back, so I assume she asked for a refill. All I could do was sit there in complete shock. I would never have imagined being cut in front of at a drive-thru, or someone getting a refill after they left the building. Now I'm wondering if anyone does that and takes the food.

I was already a little forward of the paying window, and there were cars behind me.

and ... wait... they handed your food over and then took it back and gave it to you...

technically that's against health codes no?

No, no. Sorry. I wasn't clear enough. I saw the worker hold it out the window, but then the driver held out her cup, so the worker kept hold of the food and grabbed the cup with the other hand and left the window.

if he's there long enough for refills he should get his ass inside.

and if he just drove up from goodness-knows-where ... well who knows when he bought the soda originally
