Last week I went to a local thrift store with mommy dearest to get some new work clothes for cheap. I grabbed a decent stack of slacks, blouses, skirts and cardigans and headed towards the fitting rooms. There was a limit of 5 items at a time so mom stood outside and handed me new items as I cycled them through. An obese black woman planted herself inches away from my mom and chatted her ear off. My mom, being too nice to tell her to eff off let her. Her daughter was in the room next to mine and was there just as long as I was.

While I was changing, the mom bitched to my mom about:
    -her weight
    -her weight gain
    -her skinny daughter
    -her dead hubby
    -her in-laws
    -her debts
    -her hubby's debts
    -her crappy job
    -her house
-her skinny daughter's inability to wear her clothes
-her obese daughter who can wear her clothes

It was painful for ME to listen to so I knew mom was suffering. Everytime I stepped out to model an outfit for mom, the other mom would yell, "SEE?! SEE?! You're daughter is beautiful and thin like you!" but when her tall, thin daughter walked out, she would yell, "SEE?! SEE??! She looks NOTHING like me! Tall and thin like her daddy! Why can't she be short and fat like me?! Then she could wear my clothes like my other daughter, but noooo! She has to spend all my money on clothes for HER!!"

I felt so bad for that poor girl Because of her hight, she should have been trying on junior or women's pants, but her mom kept bringing her childrens clothes and screaming at her when they didn't fit. My mom suggested she grab a few things from the women's section. The mother yelled, "I DON'T KNOW NOTHIN ABOUT THIN PERSON SIZES!" and went off in a long and winded rant about her size/weight history and her limited knowledge of clothes sizes followed by another long and winded rant about her thin daughter and why can't she be more like her fat daughter.

She was also obsessed with sale prices. She refused to buy anything not on sale. Seems reasonable, yes? She crossed the line from reasonable to insane when she screamed at her daughter for asking to get a $2 pair of pants not on sale and handed her a $6 pair of pants on sale for $3 and ordered her to get those instead....

Needless to say, we both left with headaches.....

I wouldn't be surprised if BOTH of her daughters ended up with eating disorders based on their mother's comments about them
"I was only LOOKING, I didn't mean to enter my card's CVV and actually ORDER! REFUND ME RIGHT NOW!!"

If I were that daughter, I'd get a job as soon as humanly possible so I could use my own money to buy clothes, and I'd make sure to go shopping by myself.
When you start at zero, everything's progress.

After 3 minutes I would've said in front of everybody, "mom let's get the hell out of here and shop somewhere quieter ".
