This is not about a company, so I'm not sure if it belongs here ... will tag it so the mods can check.
I live in a nice little apartment. Well, it was nice until the guy moved in next door. He's been here three months and he's already had a Strike One eviction warning, for a loud incident last Monday which involved police. Supposedly he had 7 days' grace and any further "incidents" would net him a final, no-more-chances eviction notice.
I'm trying to study for exams. Last night (Sunday) he had friends over and the noise level went up ... and up ... and up, until it was at about the same level as last Sunday. I called the police but just as the call went through the noise level (which had been at that level for about an hour by then) dropped abruptly, so I cancelled the call. I did, however, drop off a written notice to the superintendent about it. He called the owners and then faxed my complaint to them.
Sadly, he says the guy will probably get an "NR4" or something and "if he does it again, he's out." Um, I thought that was the result of his violating his seven-day grace period from the LAST warning. How many warnings does he get??
What really shocked me was that with previous incidents, mine was one of a raft of complaints about his noise levels (he turns his music volume and bass levels WAY up). But this morning, the super said NOBODY ELSE had complained about last night's racket. That worries me a little ...

) so I don't think they're reluctant to use eviction notices, when they're warranted.
However, from the voices, it sounds like alcohol (or something) is having an effect, so who knows how long the situation will last ...
A week later, the guy with the loud music moved out, to parts unknown.
