I was hanging out at Starbuck's about an hour before close the other night.
The two baristas (and seemingly only employees) were rather young, I'd guess 16-18. They were cheerful and busy starting the "clean up" process. As people came in, they gave speedy service.
A woman came in, got her order, than asked, "Where's the sugar?" (Or something, I didn't quite hear it.) One of the baristas replied, "Right over there with on the condiments' bar."
The woman muttered loudly under her breath, "God, they're always moving things around here."
The barista said, without sarcasm, "I'm sorry ma'am, what did you say? Do you need something else?"
The woman said, "Nothing, nothing" and that was that.
I was happy to see the lady's passive aggression called out.
