Thanks for the info Pagan, you're right, duh, jeez. See, that's what I don't get, he has me on hydrocodone, but the most he's ever written was for 1 original fill & 1 refill (btw, what the heck is APAP?)
    APAP = acetaminophen
ASA - aspirin (actually short for acetysalicylic acid, say that 5 times fast!)
    It's just a short-hand.

That being said, sounds like your doc is a bit of a jerk, only writing for 2 fills. Or he has a boat payment....

Thanks, that was an excellent explanation.
Thank you much. *Curtseys* And look at my avatar. I'm all girl and can and will kick your ass if need be!

I used to work at Wally World. I left because of some things the pharmacy mgr was doing that, to me, were on very shaky ethical (maybe legal) ground. The damn doctors and the damn insurance were the banes of our existence. Because we were the ones handy, we'd get screamed at. And don't get me started on the meth-heads. Suffice to say that I can spot one at 100 yards....

That's it. Wal-Mart pharmacy fucked up again. After I pick up this pack Sunday (IF they let me!), I am going to Target or Shopko.

I got there. It's so bad now with Walgreens dropped that Wal-Mart has so many customers they can't even do their jobs right. Not only did they fuck up my stuff before and today, everyone in line (the line that went out INTO the main aisles) was saying that they have had problems with Wal-Mart already this month.

The girl two people ahead of me didn't even get whatever it was she needed. Probably had the same issue as me. She was literally stomping awa in a rage. One woman just jumped the entire line and didn't care that she pissed off everyone who had been waiting for 20+ minutes.

I called in my order on day 20 of my pack (which is what I was told over a damn year ago BY Walgreens was ok, I had called because I lost a few in the carpet and wanted to know how early I could place a refill order), the phone system said it would be refilled and ready Wednesday. I didn't make it to pick it up Thursday because I couldn't bring myself to stay at Wal-Mart until 9 am.

I went today to pick it up. Pharmacist got my last name wrong, but before that just swore up and down no Rx for me existed. Then when I corrected him, he went and looked. Oh, the phone system accepted it, but it's too early. Can't refill. BUT, if you wait an hour or so, it'll be ready.

Fuck off. The last time Wal-Mart pharmacy played that shit with me, I was on my way home and they called 5 mins after I left to say that my antibiotics were ready when they said it'd take an hour or more.

The guy in front of me in line has already had this problem with them too.

Wal-Mart pharmacy, you really can't handle all these new customers, can you? Ya know, as much sympathy as I may have for those in customer service, I cannot fathom this level of ignorance and stupidity in the workplace. This is people's medication. These are people who had NO choice but to come to your stupid pharmacy, and did what they needed to do to transfer, and you fuck everything up and blame it on Walgreens and are rude to the customers.

I don't think it's the insurance company dropping WAG, but the other way around: WAG finally realised that accepting the insanely low reimbursements some of them were offering was costing them money rather than making it.
It's a contract dispute between Walgreens and Express Scripts. Express Scripts says that Wallgreens wanted more money and Walgreens says that's a complete fabrication.

          Walgreens and Express Scripts:
Its a bit of Walgreens wanting more money and Express Scripts trying to prove that people don't care about customer service as long as they get their meds cheaper. I work store level at Walgreens. Plus everywhere else hasn't renewed plans with ES yet that I know of. Who knows the outcome? Sucks. But I'm glad to see some people get good service at Walgreens outside of my store.

I care the world about customer service and how I'm treated, especially with my pills. Walgreens was FABULOUS.

Wal-Mart cannot handle the new volume of customers and they keep making repeated mistakes. Not to mention, there is no discretion. Everyone at the pharmacy saw my pills. Which, I'm not a prude, but at least at Walgreens, there was a smaller counter and a way of having discretion.

Do you have any CVS stores in your area? One of my gaming buddies in a pharmacist with CVS, and has been grousing about how crazy things have been with all the Express Scripts transfers. So I know they're taking them, and outwardly at least, CVS is very similer to Walgreens.

If I ever wind up on prescription meds, I'm going to the clearance swamp for them. At least I know my insurance will be good there.

And everybody working at the pharmacy knows who I am. They're generally good with everybody else.

This is a HIPAA violation. I'd suggest you call them on it.

                  Quoth Walmart Privacy Policy
If you have questions about this Notice, contact HIPAA Privacy, Walmart, 922 West Walnut, Suite A, Mailstop #3540, Rogers, AR 72756-3540, or call 1-800-WAL-MART. If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may file a written complaint, and there will be no retaliation, with the Compliance Officer at the above address, or with the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Civil Rights.
What you're taking is nobody's damn business but yours. Pharmacies are supposed to have a line in the floor where the other customers are supposed to stand behind, so they don't have their nose in your business, or at the very least be discreet about things. I know people who would be so pissed off if anyone around them knew they were taking BCPs that I just can't imagine what they'd do. (Religious issues, etc.)

No such thing as CVS or Rite Aid here. Other than my beloved Walgreens, you can go to Medicine Shoppe (not good), other yokel local smaller pharmacies, K-Fart, ShitKo, or Target.

I'm going to Target next month, I'm pretty sure.

I don't think it's necessarily a HIPPA violation, it's just that the pharmacy windows aren't small enough to be as disrectionary as I'd like. I really don't like people being able to see them put my box of pills in the bag. Walgreens always had it ready in a Walgreens white bag.

Hey, blas, I realize you're venting, and have had some bad experiences, but I just want to remind you that some of our CS members do work in WM pharmacies, or have friends or family who work there. Comments that generalize all of them in a bad light can cause some hurt feelings.

As with any company, I am sure there are good and bad employees, as well as exceptionally run and poorly run franchises or locations.

Try not to generalize and make judgements on all WM pharmacies based on your own bad experiences in the locations you have visited.
                      It's not really fair.
