dont threaten violence because you failed at scamming
I'm not sure as where to put this as it happened at my work place (kfc), and it happened on my station, but I had no interaction with this person apart from packing the meal.
this guy comes through drivethru (our set up is 2 windows place order and pay at the first window, collect food at the second), gets a cheap as chips meal (8 original, 6 nuggets, 2 large chips, 2 large potato and gravy's and 2 sauces). All goes well til the manager who is helping me (she had nothing else to do at that point) hands the meal out.
The guy claims to have not gotten any sauce at the first window (people forget; I have forgotten more then once) and wants sweet and sour (we have 4 flavours tomato, bbq, sweet and sour and sweet chili), but being a saturday night we have none (we get sauce in our deliveries tuesday and friday mornings and they never order enough sweet and sour). The manager informs him we have run out (every week might i add) and tells him the other flavours we have, but no, he wants the cost of the sauces refunded from his meal.
People dont seem to get that in a meal that includes sauce, they dont get charged for it; it's included at no cost. Some meals come with more then others and some have none. Additional sauces are 50 cents each, and no he didnt get extra sauces just the meal.
The manager tells him we can't do that and he leaves. Latter he rings and tries to claim he got 6 wings in his 8 pieces. He didnt. He got 2 wings, 1 leg, 2 thighs, 1 rib and 1 breast. The only thing that had 6 wings in it tonight that I packed was a 21 piece bucket. I know he didnt because i packed it and i always pack meas right, and the manager was next to me the whole time. So he's basically trying to scam a meal out of us because we wouldnt refund something he wasnt charged for.
The manager tries to tell him that the meal was packed right but, he cuts her off saying that "if i have to come out there again tonight im going to throw the chicken at you lot." So under threat of assult he got his name down for a replacement.
The manager didnt tell me of that last part til after she hung up the phone. I told her that she shouldnt have replaced his meal and if he had of thrown the chicken at us we would have been able to call the police and have him charged for assult and he would have been banned from the store (maybe not officially but none of the staff would want to serve him).
On the plus side, we didn't see Mr. Happy tonight (my name for him because hes a miserable bastard who likes to pick on the trainees). I'm going to put a story of his last visit in a different thread tomorrow after work.
