And in the most unexpected places.
It's 2am, I have insomnia, so I'm surfing the web, with the TV on cause the house is too quiet. Stuck with late-night fare cause the DVD player died a couple of weeks ago, so can't watch a movie.
2am isn't brimming with a great choice to watch, so I have it on an old 1950's cop show. Half listening as i surf. And suddenly, I hear the unmistakable raised voice of an SC. I look over, and there's some guy yelling at the main character (a cop), going on about his rights, it's a free country, he can do this or that, and he expects the cop to do this or that, all the classic SC lines we hear on here every day. SC's don't seem to have changed a bit, it's now 50 years later , and they're still using the same old lines. Almost had to clean my monitor when the guy actually ended with the classic "you can't yell at me, I pay your salary!". To which the cop replied, "then you just got your money's worth in advice".
To anyone interested, it was an episode of Highway Patrol, from the mid to late 50's. I actually vaguely remember watching it as a child, probably in reruns in the 60's. Sticks in my head cause I've actually met the main actor, his son and my Dad used to have booths at the same flea market, and as a teen I was helping my dad one day when the actor dropped by to see his son, and I got to chat with him.
