Former coworker of mine now works for a mobile phone company. (ironically, he's located less than 100m away from his old workplace )

He just had someone try and buy an expensive phone with an iTunes gift card.

The other issue was that the customer didn't understand or speak a lick of English. And had no translator.

I can ALMOST see thinking "iTunes card buys iPhone." Almost. But if figuring out a SC were that easy, it wouldn't be much of a website. And I'm sure fireheart woulda mentioned it. 'cause you know, that would be sensible.

We just had a guy try to pay for his ad using a Best Buy gift card. And I had one once that tried to use a Sears card.
