So, I'm seriously pissed at Sam's Club.
Went to one of their stores yesterday to shop, and found a gun safe for sale at a very nice price. After flagging down a worker I found out the display model was the last one in stock, they were discontinuing stocking the item and no more would be coming in, and that it was locked and the manager who had the combination wasn't answering his phone.
I gave them my name and phone number and they hauled it off the floor. I offered to pay for it then, but they said I shouldn't. I was told I'd be called the next day.
Today, I did my various tasks, and not having heard from them I detoured over to their store. Nope, it had been sold. The reason I was given was that the manager asserted items couldn't be held. They had my phone number so they could at least have told me that.
So, I sent a complaint in to corporate. I'm also a Costco member, so I guess I'll be doing most of my shopping there instead for the next few months.
