  • I know you want to turn by house into a parking lot... Long

    but seriously BUGGER OFF!

I used to live next to a very busy restaurant, they kept approaching my best friend and myself about buying my house so they could plow it under for more parking space.
Regularly when we were in the yard the guy would come over to chat about it and pester one of us.
His sucktomers would often park me in either directly behind my car in my own freaking driveway. Or park so far into my driveway from where they parked on the street that I could not get out.
Me trying to be a nice idiot would walk into the restaraunt and tell them such and such cars are blocking me please move them.
I soon got tired of this, the kicker was when I had not 1 but 2 cars on the street blocking my driveway - even if they were not there a huge ass transport truck on the other side of my tiny side street would have made it impossible to back out anyways.
I tried to walk in as usual, there were sucktomers lined up out the door. As I tried to get past they were giving me the stinkeye, when I finally got in the door the employee there told me to get in line or piss off - can't I see how busy they are, and the owner gave me a nasty grin - that ripped it.
This bastard was sure nothing could happen to him he let cops eat there for free and went out of his way to suck up to the police chief - what is a little pissant like me going to do?
I went home and promptly called a towing company who was more than happy to dispatch 3 towing vehicles. By the time they got there the big truck was leaving so they only towed the 2 cars at that time. The trucks had just left when I went back out to get in my car and go. Lets just say the truck that left empty did not waste a trip after all, some other idjitt parked me in and he could not believe seeing his car getting towed after not even being parked in my driveway for more than 5 minutes - priceless.
I did put up a sign after that - you think it helped any? Lets just say I had a lot more repeat business for friendly towing comany.
When my friend finally sold the property guess who did not get it? I drive by occasionaly and its still not a parking lot - suck it George (not the restaraunt owners real name)

If I've read anything from Argabarga's posts, it's that even when you tow people, they still will not learn their lesson.

      No they do not.
It is almost comical they seem damned like Sisyphus to forever be stuck in a loop of neverending suck.

Well if you ever got stuck anywhere you would know a place to call to get you out.

fireheart, you're brilliant. I do have a question about the towing: did the OP have to pay a fee for the service? Or did the towees have to pay, or both? It would really suck if you had to pay to get people out of your driveway that didn't belong there.

I did not have to pay .
I had a fairly long driveway to my garage you could squeeze 3 vehicles in there and another 2 next to the dividing wall between the two properties on the grass if you were really determined.
It was very clear this belonged to a private proterty not the sucktaraunt and yet people still loved parking here.
I admit there was a desperate shortage in parking spots for such a busy area but - git off my lawn ye bums.

Wow! After they started parking on the lawn, I would not only call the towing company but the police for trespass and destruction of property; you could have totally had the yard re-seeded!

Nope. they'll scream at the towing company and the restaurant for daring to do this... even though they had no qualms about parking in what is clearly someone's home

I wonder if there's someone whose home is used as an impromptu illegal parking lot by a business' customers, and who knows someone on the dark side of the law who runs a chop shop. The illegal parkers definitely won't be parking there again - at least, not with the same car.
