This story was relayed to me by the security guard that works in the mall I work in.
Apparently, 2 days ago there was a theft in the jewelry store of about 4000$ worth of merchandise. It was in plain daylight, and everything is locked away, so how did he do it without doing a smash and grab?
Well, he was being helped by a sales lady trying on two very expensive pieces of gold jewelry (a chain and the matching bracelet I believe). He asked the lady if the pieces looked good on him, and when the lady said yes, he replied with: "OK, thank you!"
Then he walked out of the store and mall, STILL WEARING THE PIECES!
Luckily, the police caught the guy that same evening, I suppose they identified him using the security cameras. I don't know if the pieces were recovered.
