  • Good and Bad.

Bad. My wife and I started to get spam text messages a few weeks back. Forwarded the texts to At&T, the numbers were from a website. Stopped them by texting BLOCK but that signs you up for some 9.99 a month service it turns out.

Good. Called At&T and they took the charges right off.

Bad. Went to Winn Dixie last week and bought some stuff, including some cooked shrimp to have a shrimp cocktail snack. Got home, opened it up and the smell was horrible. It was still two days from the sell by date but it was BAD. Fired off an email to Winn Dixie about it and included that the store has a major problem with expired items on the shelf. Every trip there I seem to grab something off the shelf that is expired. I did make sure to point out that the staff is always friendly and the store is clean.

Good. Manager called me today wanting to give me a refund for the shrimp and a gift card for the other problems. I told her no, the shrimp was not that much and the gift card was not necessary, I just wanted these problems brought to their attention.

That's good; they may have a faulty refrigeration unit or something like that. You bringing the bad shrimp to their attention without being a SC or demanding $$$ might prompt them to check stuff out.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

Or it could just be that it's WD >_> I've had problems any time I was dumb enough to buy a "Manager's Special" in meats from there. It seems that is code for "knock the price down and print a new sticker" for items within 24 hours of expiration...but without making sure that the expiration date stays the same

Aah... there's a little corner store that I love, it's run by these Persian guys and they sell all kinds of Middle Eastern canned and dry goods. And baklava. And they have the best and cheapest plain yogurt. BUT -- I've bought coffee cream twice there and both times it was curdled. Not sure if it's the store's fault for not keeping it cold enough, or if it's just random chance. I just won't buy milk or cream there anymore.
