  • Cute sighting @ work

At work but absolutely nothing sucky and the man wasn't my customer.

Spotted a nice looking dog walking around the store the other day. His vest was military style - camouflage with molle along both sides. I think it was a working / service dog but didn't care exactly - I make no bones about dogs in the store, whether they're vested or in someone's arms. To me it's a treat cos they're always cute.

Still I hope the man was happy... cos I told him that his dog was beautiful.

Granted it wasn't as cute as my dog () but it was very well behaved.

I like all kinds of dogs. I picked up my mom's dislike of dogs, but after I lived with one, I saw their charms. They are messy and silly and do naughty stuff, but you just say, "That's a dog for you." What were we talking about? *wanders off*

I bring my puppies to my store all the time. Sterling is still afraid. Karuso loves the attention.

They are also capable of giving absolute, unconditional love, which is really important sometimes when all you need is a cuddle.

It's really fun to watch them figure things out. I do clicker training with my dogs and the new girl, Pumpkin, hasn't had a whole lot of training period. One day I was working with her to love her new crate. Click-treat a few times for her venturing in and then all of a sudden she stopped, looked at me, looked at the crate, then looked back at me and stuck her head in the crate with this look on her face like "This it, Mom?" All this took maybe half an hour. Much squeeing and lots of treats ensued.
