Went out last night to the local for some food with friends and had a nice meal. Until we started looking at desserts.
A loud and raucous group of 30ish year olds sat behind us under the TV.
Firstly they were whining because they didn't want to know the result of the Spanish Grand Prix. There were at least two other tables of the right size I could see that they could have sat at to accomplish this but did they move? No. To the point that hubby actually commented about "well why did they sit there then?".
Then our desserts came. Right around then one of the raucous group start telling a story rather loudly. I must admit I'd drowned out most of it apart from about 5-6 times (in about 2 minutes or so) the guy would say "and then {fake being sick noise}".
I'm really in wimp mode at the moment* so all I did was turn and glare at him. There were quite a few tables around us with young kids on and lots of people eating. I'm just glad I didn't hear the rest of the story as I have a feeling it was even worse!
*I have crowd phobia to the point I couldn't even go to the cinema at the moment - the rest of the group had gone to watch Avengers Assemble earlier in the day. I thought going out for food would be a bit less stressful.
