  • Self-sighting? I want free stuff!

    So I have been looking at getting a 2nd stethoscope that I can use for pediatrics. I wasn't in a rush but added one to my cart on Thursday (I believe) while I compared a few items. The laser engraving is an additional 7 dollars.

    The company decided to send me a general email encouraging me to buy the stethoscope and mentioned the free laser engraving on Sunday. I forwarded the email to the customer help and asked about it.

    Today, the guy responded back saying the offer ended Friday (I think BS because I am 90% I looked at the stuff on Thursday). Anyway, ten minutes after he wrote, they sent a duplicate email to me again regarding the free laser engraving. I also checked the site and saw this: "Avoid theft/loss and use our free laser engraving service to personalize your scope with text and symbols"

    So I am basically going to try as hard as I can to get the free laser engraving. I emailed customer support again regarding the stuff. I also was slightly bitchy to the original person who responded because of how quick the 2nd email came after his reply.

    Here are the identical emails:

    Oh, Robert Kaiser is the person who supposedly responded so who knows. Maybe this site is a small family business.

        I clicked the link and it looks like they offer the free laser engraving when you buy the product...so why won't they honor it?
