My hubby has learned a little bit of Japanese from watching anime. He calls my sister-in-law's dog "inu-chan." I'm surprised she hasn't gotten mad at him yet. She's Korean.

I'm almost surprised that the first representative in the OP didn't expect Kaycichu to translate.
"I look at the stars. It's a clear night and the Milky Way seems so near. That's where I'll be going soon. "We are all star stuff." I suddenly remember Delenn's line from Joe's script. Not a bad prospect. I am not afraid. In the meantime, let me close my eyes and sense the beauty around me. And take that breath under the dark sky full of stars. Breathe in. Breathe out. That's all."

But I didn't explain I knew the language either.

I should have interpreted, looking back, so that was my idiocy. Its my dream job, I should have practiced, but I thought it was better to get someone hired to do it as well...

Then again, they needed to talk to him for his personal info and billing...so...hm.

I can tell the difference between Chinese and Japanese only because we have a major Chinese exchange program at my University, and a lot of my friends take it. The other lot of them are all taking Japanese, and whenever they're plotting against the other group they'll drop into respective language.
Tell a man there are 300 Billion stars in the universe and he’ll believe you.
Tell him a bench has wet paint on it and he’ll have to touch to be sure.
