I worked a hospice shift today making on call visits. After my shift was over, I stopped by a C store to buy gas and get dinner.
While I'm waiting for my food, a woman who looks like she's been rode hard and put up wet walks right up to me, puts her hand on my forearm, and says, "You work at Walmart, don't you?"

, I'm so surprised by the suddenness of her actions. Before I can get a word out, she says, "Oh, you're a nurse!" and walks away.
I look down at myself, then realize: I'm wearing khaki's and a blue scrub top. My ID badge is white and blue.
I'm going to have to find something else to wear next time I do visits.
