My co-worker works part-time at a parking garage that is managed by our immediate supervisor. A dept. store owns the parking garage, & from what my co-worker has said, that company does not have any money to pay for the much needed repairs.
Both incidents happened last Monday.
First incident:
Happened between 9 p.m. & 9:30 p.m. He was inside the booth listening to his i pod & singing out loud. When he sings, he makes gestures with his hands. Apparently someone from the dept. store management saw him from severalfeet away doing this & felt threatened. So that person complained to upper management at the parking company we both work for. Our immediate supervisor wrote him up. He showed me the write up even though technically he is not supposed to. The write up indicated that the employee was seen shouting making pointing movements in the air with his hands. The employee who saw him felt threatened.
Second incident:
Happened at 10:30 p.m. Apparently the fire alarm at the parking garage is activated when the exit gate will not properly close. Our immediate supervisor is aware of this, but the dept. store that owns the parking garage does not have the money to fix the problem. So the fire alarm was activated at 10:30 p.m. because the exit gate would not close. The city fire dept. responded to the alarm, but my co-worker did not call my supervisor at that time.
He still works there.
