  • Store coupons

We have all our prescriptions at Walgreens, so we're there fairly often. When you buy stuff there- they give you the store coupons just like at the grocery stores.

There is this one cashier in the pharmacy who tries to take every customer's coupons! What is up with that? She'll look at the coupons that came up and comment on each one and either ask if she can have them, or make some comment like "Well you won't use these will you?"

And she doesn't just do it to me, I saw her doing it to the two people in front of me. The other two people just let her keep them, which shocked me. Am I too sensitive or is she way the hell out of bounds?

It's not awful, but it's really not that polite. Granted, I never use the coupons, but I kinda doubt her boss would like to hear her asking people that!

Those coupons that print from the catalina machines are intended only for the person making the purchase that they came up on. If a customer doesn't want them or the cashier forgets to give them to the customer the cashier is supposed to throw them away. If the cashier keeps the coupons for herself or intentionally gives them to someone they weren't intended for she is committing coupon fraud.

That's what we were told too, Superdan.

Egads, where do they get some of these numbnuts? Makin' the rest of us look bad.

I don't go to Walgreens, but at CVS, the bonus coupons can only be used with the same loyalty card that was used to spawn them, so the cashier would be SOL.
The only words you said that I understood were "His", "Phone" and "Ya'll". The other 2 paragraphs worth was about as intelligible as a drunken Teletubby barkin' come on's at a Hooter's waitress.

That's the kind of awkward, unpleasant thing that wouldn't prompt me to complain, but would make me unlikely to return.
