Also you can tell them you prefer to communicate by email and give them abc@123.com.

I was thinking that using wait@hell.com for e-mail with them would be a good choose.

I hope I get a call like this. I plan to string them along as long as possible.
If only I had that kind of patience. If that happened to me, I'd tell them in no uncertain terms to "get fucked" (let's say I hardly get any telemarketing/collections calls that arent for me, to my personal mobile # anymore for that very reason)
If anyone breaks the three pint rule, they'll be running all night to the pisser and back.

I'm definitely preaching to the choir here, but you should never, EVER tell these people anything. You are paying them to screw you. Whether that screwing is theft of personal information or just trashing your computer for the hell of it depends on the motives of the idiot on the other end of the phone. Messing with them is perfectly acceptable, though.
Not to mention they could be trying to set you up to be part of a bot net.......

Talk about timing. I read this thread just the other day, and last night while visiting my mom she gets one of these calls. Guy claimed that she had viruses on her computer. My mom is not the most computer literate person, but I work in IT so she handed me the phone saying 'Can you tell me if this is a scam or not?' By the time I got on the phone the guy had hung up. Like the others described here the phone said 'Out of Area' and the guy had a thick accent.

Mark down another stopped in their tracks. I'm just glad I was there.
