Better ways to handle this

I didn't witness this one myself, but had it relayed to me by a coworker.

Apparently, during his drive to work, there were a pair of cars ahead of him on a particular long stretch of road that doesn't allow passing. It seems the car in front was going a bit under the speed limit, and the second car was tailgating the first. My coworker didn't particularly care, because he was 15 minutes early. But the front driver cared.

At the end of this no-passing stretch, there's an onramp up to the highway heading towards our store. It's a slightly strange one with two onramps that merge into one with a yield sign halfway up.

The slow driver stopped his car in the middle of that onramp, and then got out and walked back to the tailgater to yell at him. He did't seem to care that he was blocking traffic from two directions there, and in a very good spot to be hit.

Exactly. Too bad there wasn't a cop around to see that - no matter the location I doubt the police would take too kindly to an "entitled" motorist blocking traffic in both directions for no good reason.

Entitled, yes, most definitely.

But I'll bet the tailgater got the message.

I actually saw someone do this, who really should have known better. It was an ambulance driver. Some guy, who somehow managed not to hear the sirens or see the flashing lights, changed lanes right in front of the ambulance. As soon as he realized what he did, he pulled over. Instead of doing the sensible thing, and continuing to the scene of whatever emergency they were responding to, the driver pulled over, and both he and the passenger got out to yell at the other driver.

Maybe he was responding to a "Timergency" - i.e. using the lights and siren to get to the donut shop (around here, Tim Horton's is the main donut supplier) faster.
