So the streets around my technical college directly border regular houses. There is street parking on both sides of the street, it is a two way road. Almost all the time there is room for two cars to pass each other in opposite directions. However there are no yellow/white lines in the middle of the road. Also, sometimes cars park a bit too far into the road, making it impossible for two cars to pass each other. What do you do in that case? Do you,
A) Judge how fast the opposite car is going, and helpfully move over when possible to let the other car by
B) See that the other car is letting you by and keep going to get out of the other car's way
C) Not understand that the other car is letting you by and slow down to a crawl, forcing the other car to come to a complete stop to wait for you, creating a traffic jam while you creep along at 2 mph
If you picked C, you are the people I met on the road today. Bonus points if there is plenty of room for two cars but you take up too much room. Look! There's 3 feet in between you and the parked cars! I, however, have about 6 inches. Great.
