Apparently she had hopped into the truck before I pulled in, and since no one was there when she got in, she figured she didn't have to look.
That reminds me of an accident I was in while visiting my uncle in Kansas. My cousin was driving the minivan with me riding in the passengers side and my grandmother in the back. We parked in a parking spot in front of her tiny little housing development. There was a long driveway that went into the back of the development. We were sitting there, car off, talking, for about five minutes, when suddenly a woman backs down the driveway, cranes her wheel, and slams her back bumper right into the side of the mini-van.
Her excuse? "No one is ever parked there so I didn't even look!"
