Don't ever underestimate drunk drivers. Ever.
It may sound a little early, but in the great state of Wisconsin, bear in mind that drinking usually begins before noon and for some people, doesn't end until 4 or 5 am.
Having said that, it's no surprise that you can see many drunk drivers on the road in the quite earlier times of night, such as oh, 10:25....
I was on my way to work (aren't I always?) and I was in the right lane, about to hop from one highway to another. There was a car behind me that had been behind me since first entering the freeway 10 miles before.
We had been the only ones on the road for a few miles.....and literally, out of nowhere came this silver pickup truck just wailing down the freeway at what had to be 85-90 mph in the left lane, I mean one second he wasn't there, the next he was gaining on us faster and faster.
We were to the point of the exit lane, I was signalling and so was the car behind me. The silver truck seemed to be staying in the left lane and proceeding at top speed.....and then.......you can guess...
With just feet to spare, and totally cutting ahead of me, the silver pickup darted from the left lane to the right to the exit lane in a matter of a milisecond, almost taking out the exit sign.....now this exit ramp is very windy, as this entire freeway setup of entering/exiting highways is ALL loopdeedoos if you're trying to get in or out.....I was AMAZED that this guy did not ONCE hit his brakes or let off the gas to take a curve....and didn't roll his pickup.
It only took him a matter of seconds before he was on the next freeway and rocketed off into the distance, still at maximum velocity.
Simply fucking amazing. Almost all of the exit/entrance ramps have a sign warning of tipping trucks and a speed limit of 30-50 around the curves....
