  • You almost hit me

but you honk your horn and flip me the bird? Eh?

Set up: There is a road that terminates a little strangely...you can only turn right. There are two right turn lanes that lead to three lanes on the main highway.

The folks in the far right turn lane are supposed to turn into the far right lanes on the main road. The other turn lane can turn into the middle lane or turn into the far left lane on the main road (if it's clear.) Does this make sense?

So, we get the green arrows and start to turn. I am in the left right turn lane and I'm going to turn into the middle turn lane (basically, follow the line into the turn lane.)

The moron beside me tries to turn into my lane on top of me. If I hadn't of glanced to my right and saw them barreling into my lane, they would have hit my passenger side.

I swerved into the far left lane on the main road and praise God that no one was there. Then, I get back into the middle turn lane. The guy in the car that nearly hit me flips me off when I look at him and lays on his horn. I was like...

Why? You are the one that almost hit me. Last time I checked, your lane can't just turn into whatever lane you wanted to be in. You are in the inside lane, stupid.

What's worse is that they ended up going to my store and I hid in the back until they left. XDD

That seems to be an often occurance.

People will be totally in the wrong, and for some reason will toot their horn or flip the bird to the person they almost just hit or the person they left waiting behind them while the light changed to green and then red again then green again....

We have a similar setup here. A two lane road terminates at a traffic light, but you can only turn left onto a different two lane road. Thus, if you're in the left lane, you should turn left into the new left lane, and if you're in the right lane, you turn left into the new right lane. And there are curved dotted lines painted across the road so you can see where your proper lane should be.

Almost always, if I'm in the right hand lane, when I turn left, the person to my left aims to turn into the new right hand lane, even though it would mean driving through my entire vehicle. If I blow my horn to indicate that they're about to slam into me, they flip me off, yell, blow their own horn and otherwise indicate that I'm clearly mentally defective and should have either made an illegal right turn or driven straight ahead, over the curb, and into the tree line. Idiots.
