Passing on the shoulder...

is not only illegal, but stupid. Let me illustrate a typical situation:

I'd be waiting at a light where the road ends a few yards past it. I'm the only one there, the light turns green. Before I can go, the next SIX cars pass me on the shoulder! Yup, instead of waiting for me to catch up to speed, these assholes feel they are in a hurry and pass on the shoulder. Had I been not paying attention, there would have been a collision! Luckly, the worst that came out of it was me having to wait for these assholes and being stunned at 6 cars coming from nowhere.

And a bonus one!

This one was partly my fault, because I had not seen that the road ends. No problem, I see that there's no vehicals within 50 or so yards so I just get back on the road. This would have been no problem had the ASSHOLE bus driver not decided to speed up, forcing me to brake at the last minute. He nearly hits me in the process. Yeah, I screwed up, but there was no need to speed up and risk a collision. Ya, jackass.

So that's my driving rant of the month, brought to you by rageaholic!

I just saw a new trend last week.....

Both times it was during the morning, on my way home on the freeway.

Both days, someone was so mad at how "slow" I was going, that they used the merging lane to pass me! (since there was no one merging on at that point)

I couldn't believe it......but I should have known better.

I've seen that a few times. My favorite is when there is an exit just ahead and there is construction, you always see people passing on the shoulders. Then of course there are the people that for some reason think they have flashers on thier car and use the "Authorized Vehicles Only" area to turn around.
