  • Drive home from heck!

I had a bad night at work. To make things worse, I'm driving home this morning in the right hand lane. The lane branches-off into a right turn lane. There's a car driving to my left, even with me. Suddenly I see it almost touching me! I put on a burst of speed and swerved into the turn lane in-time to see an oblivious woman who appeared to be speaking excitedly to her significant other just cruise into the space I had just occupied and continue into the turn lane. All without ever having looked at where she was going. She cut-off another car in the turn lane too. She did have a directional on, but was ignoring basic etiquette in the second case. I was too tired to honk at her.

Then I pull into the gas station. The first pump I went to was frozen, so I turned into another lane and pulled-up to the 2nd pump, behind a guy on the 1st pump. We both finished pumping at the same time, which happened to be when a car pulled-up at the pump next to me, blocking me in. I hop in my car, figuring the guy in front will be leaving. Nope, he walks into the convenience store. Now I can't go back, or to the side enough to squeeze by the guy in front. I wait a little bit, then go inside to grab a snack. When I come back, the guy is still parked in front of me!!! At least the people next to me had finished and I managed to wiggle my way past him.

Grrr. I just needed to vent; after the first incident I was in no mood for the 2nd!

Driving home this afternoon in my work van, three lane boulevard, I'm in the right lane because I'm going to turn into my local Sam's Club to get gas. I'm almost to the turn when someone comes speeding up in the middle lane, throws on their turn signal and tries to cut in between me and the vehicle in front of me, who was also turning right. Na ah, not gonna happen. I may drive a large van, but it's got a 5.0 V8 with turbocharger. I don't know why people always seem to want to cut me off.

It's even worse when it happens in bad weather conditions!

I lost count last night and this morning how many retards decided to do the "God Given Right To Turn Right On Red" and do it just a tad too fast for the super slick roads, and go weaving and bobbing into my lane nearly hitting me, and also how many more retards with snow-covered back windows decided to just change lanes without a care.
