    So I brought one of my trucks, an F550, to one of the local Ford dealers. There's a wiring problem with one of the tail lights, and it needs a state inspection.

    Well, I just got a message they'd left on my phone; it didn't pass inspection, because the tail light was out.

      So you took it to the ford dealer so they could FIX the light that you knew was a problem.

      Do you have to pay for said inspection each time? If you do, I would claim scam, since the reason you most likely took it in was to get it FIXED SO IT COULD PASS, then do an inspection.
      I'm sorry reading is not a new concept it has been widely taught in our nation for at least the past 100 years. Please, learn to do it CORRECTLY before you become contagious.

          Did you address the situation when you left the truck specifically? I'm pretty sure they aren't permitted to fix anything without consent first.

            Update: I have a service manager who I usually work with, and he wasn't in on the weekend. The guy who was handling it misread the service order.

            I got the truck back, and while I still have issues with what they did, it's no longer a "WTF" item.
