This is a sighting from yesterday.
I was getting off the sidestreet ready to turn on to the main road, when I saw 2 kids, a boy who looked about 9 years old and a girl who was about 5, riding their bikes in the middle of the street!
I was trying to turn, but these kids made a left turn toward me. The boy waved his hands at me, telling me to go despite the fact that they were right in front of me! The girl (who I assume was the sister) nearly got hit by an oncoming car as the brother was pressuring her along.
Now, this isn't that busy of a street for a main road and the traffic wasn't too bad, but, the point remains, these kids were playing in a street with a 40 MPH speed limit. It wasn't as if there was no sidewalk. Didn't their mother ever tell them not to play in the street?
