So I was coming home to Denver from Phoenix (went to a tea party, yes, an actual tea party, with tea), driving along US-160 (still on the Arizona side) when this truck comes out of nowhere and does the squiggly "MUST GET AHEAD IN TRAFFIC!" deal since there are about 5 cars on the road all going the same direction. We finally get a chance to pass everyone and take it and after a minute or so, everyone is a good distance behind us. Less than a minute later, the truck has managed to catch up and tailgates us (while swerving a bit) at 5 feet for about 10 minutes, before he decides to pass us, damn near clipping my side mirror. Had we felt comfortable we would have tried to get his plates and call the appropriate number (which we didn't have anyway). It's likely a good thing as for quite a while we could see him swerving on the road, and a couple times was actually in the opposing direction of traffic, which luckily for him was nonexistent.
The kicker: 5 minutes before all this happened, we stopped on the side of the road for a potty break when a state trooper came up and turned on his lights to "make sure everything's alright." Where the fuck was he during all this?
