I was waiting at the light. Cross traffic was turning left. I saw one man turning left...sort of...he was turning his head the other way and staring at something in the shopping center nearby as he was turning, and his trajectory wasn't quite on target. His car got nearer and nearer to the sidewalk....
BUMP! He scraped against the curb. Yeah, that's really not good for your tires. He appeared surprised and startled. If there was a kid, or backed up traffic, or anything else in the way, he would have run right over it! Fortunately, he merely weakened the sidewalls on his tires.
