The best plate I've seen was when I was vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
It was from my home province of Alberta. It is kind of nice to see a plate from home when you are so far away.
I have also seen a few European plates while visiting the Rockies, even on motorhomes. I wonder how much those are to ship across?

Now I want to know what the vanity plate says.Quoth laborcat View PostThe only reason I noticed the front plate is because she's always had this unusual vanity plate, and it always makes me wonder what it means when I see it.

Most municipalities make european-sized plates for import cars. It costs extra, but you can legitimately drive a foreign-intended car in the States. Next time you're in the DMV, ask them about "import plates", they might have some example pictures on hand.Quoth Kogarashi View PostNeat.
We've got someone in town here (southern CT) who apparently has European plates of some kind. It's the long narrow type rather than the "standard" size used in North America (unless there are Canadian provinces that use a different shape than Ontario; correct me if I'm wrong then). I can't imagine shipping your car overseas to go to school, and if they're a permanent resident then the state would be on their case in no time to get them to change it (and pay out the nose for doing so).Last edited by roothorick; 11-03-2010, 09:55 PM.

Good point ^_^ AS for how to get that close while driving: People do some crazy hoo-ha with cell phones (and the attached cameras)...Quoth joe hx View PostI wondered that too, then I realized he probably did not get close enough to take a picture of that quality. I mean, what would you do if some random person was photographing your license plate?
