  • Open letter to those on the roads in my state....

Dear those who can drive in my state,

See those flashy yellow lights on your car? They are known as indicators. You are meant to use them to signal when you want to turn left or right. This is done ANY TIME you want to do so-whether it be lane changing, turning at a roundabout, turning left or right onto a road and so on.

For the LOVE of freaking cheese, USE THEM! I am sick of getting near a roundabout, seeing someone with no indicators come onto the roundabout and then decide that they want to turn right without signaling. If I-a lowly P-Plater who according to most of society apparaently cannot drive-can use their indicators, so can you.

I approve the above message, and thank you for posting it. For awhile there I jokingly thought there had been something posted in a newspaper or something I missed, cause NOBODY seems to use the 'turn signals' any more. It is frustrating when you are stopped at a stop sign and waiting on a vehicle..then at the very last SECOND they slow down and put on their signal lights. I could have been half way home if they had turned them on when they are supposed to!!

Maybe they're afraid that if they tell you where they're going, you might follow them!

And by the way, it's exactly the same here in England.....
Engaged to the sweet Mytical He is my Black Dragon (and yes, a good one) strong, protective, the guardian. I am his Silver Dragon, always by his side, shining for him, cherishing him.

Normally I would pile on this complaint, but after a couple near misses, I've learned, not to even trust people who use turn signals, especially the clowns around here.. It seems like the only time they *use* the indicator is when they are going straight.
I now either wait until they pass, or commit to their turn
Just sliding down the razor blade of life.

I've had a couple of those as well. Especially people who turn on their turn signal as if they're trying to change into the non-existent lane.
