As I was closing my shift at work, I heard a lot of sirens. "Busy night", I muttered.
I walked out to my car, and I hear over an intercom, "Get out of the car!....Get out of the car now!" Over on the main road, I see red and blue flashing lights. I peer over the fence in time to see a car speeding off, with another police car in hot pursuit. They were gaining speed and heading towards the Interstate.
When I got home, my apartment was surrounded by police, so I don't know if the sirens I heard earlier were related to what I saw or what was at my apartment. (I live just a couple blocks from the motel. Sadly, coming home to my complex surrounded by police doesn't surprise me at all.)
I logged onto the police scanner, but all the real excitement is apparently on the other side of town tonight, and I didn't hear any updates about the chase I saw or the (likely domestic dispute) happenings at my complex. (Some guy has set up a live online stream of all the local frequencies...I love whoever set that up!)
