  • things that go bump

So this morning just after the store opened, I was in the office printing some labels and the cashier was hanging out up front. I see a cop come in the store and think maybe he's there for the shoplifter from the other day. I see him talk to the cashier, and then the cashier knocks on the office door and asks if i drive a toyota. I said yes, thinking oh crap did they tow it? nope, my car got hit instead.

I go outside with the cop to get the paperwork he needed to fill out the report. Turns out, a guy driving a pickup plow truck, who drives a town vehicle and works for them, backed into my car while plowing. idk how but whatever. funny thing, my car was like the ONLY one there too haha.

the guy apologized and i got the papers. i go back in the store while the cop finished up his stuff. luckily since it was a town truck/employee/parking lot, the town will be taking care of the whole thing

before the cop left he suggested i move my car back into the space properly haha, my car got pushed out of the space a bit.

the cop took photos, i took a few on my cell phone, theres one here attached that i took when i got home. its really not that bad overall, just a pain in the butt.

At least you can get it fixed w/o affecting your insurance, as there was evidence of guilt on their part.

Worse if they just had left w/o leaving notice.

Good on the driver and city for taking responsibility. Hopefully it won't be too much hassle to actually get it fixed.
