I'm out and about today, running some errands, and on my way home. In the town next to me, there is long-running construction on a bridge, etc. so some roads are closed and traffic is diverted all over hell and back.
At one intersection, you can go straight or turn right, but ONLY to get to the businesses there; they are not through roads anymore. If you turn left, the police and fire station are right there. Now this light used to blink red one way, and yellow the other, but sometime since I was last in the area, they changed it back to the "regular" red, yellow green. So you have to stop and WAIT at the red light.
I almost missed it and stopped just in time, as I wasn't aware they had changed the light. Also on the road I was turning left onto, was a cop, as they were doing utility work. So I'm sitting waiting for the light, and some buttmunch behind me is honking. and honking again. And again. Now the light was bit long, but I was NOT going to turn left on a red, right in front of a cop
So it turns green, and I make my turn. Cop motions me to stop, and i roll down my window, and he asks if the guy behind me was honking. I said him or someone else, as I really wasn't sure who was doing it. Next thing I know, car behind me is getting a lecture. HA
