I-30 is "we're barely paying attention to the speed limit as we blow past it." Even the state boys don't like pulling people over. They do it anyways, but they don't like it at all.
Here, the parkway (I-376) is posted at 55mph. However, it's widely ignored. I've had people pass me at 70mph...like I was standing still The 55mph is a huge joke, mainly because it's not enforced. There are very few areas for the cops to sit and bust people. Plus, even if there were, many areas have enough ramps, that speeders could easily elude the cops by simply getting off the parkway, and disappearing downtown, and getting back on the parkway further down.

In Arkansas, if it can't go faster than 45 mph, it has no business being on the freeway. In fact, the on ramps all have signs that clearly state: "No pedestrians, bicycles, or parades are permitted on this road."

That's fine. There's usually a major highway or two dozen that run in the same direction as the freeways, so we see long-haul cyclists working their way down them.

I just have to wonder who was silly enough to try to bring a parade onto the freeway....
yeah we had a car almost cause an accident on the highway a night or to ago cos it was driving 40 (or less) on a 70mph road.

Here, it's "no bikes or pedestrians on highways or bridges (unless they have a pedestrian zone blocked off by concrete barriers), ever", statewide. Not that it helps. There are certain zones -- especially at THE MERGE, where two three-lane interstate sections meet and briefly form a 6-lane highway -- that people dressed in dark clothes love to cross at night ~_~
