Judging from your license plates, you are not from around this area. Thus, I can understand that the routing of traffic in the two consecutive freeway intersections you were in is not something you know by heart. (simply reading the signs might have helped, though).
Now, you chose the wrong lane and ended up on a ramp that goes on for approximately 3/4 mile, before splitting up for two destinations. None of which is where you wanted to go. So, what to do?
You wisely refrained from making a U-turn mid-ramp. Have a cookie.
However, stopping your car, switching into reverse gear and driving backwards on the freeway ramp is not exactly much better.
