  • Tagged your car

Last weekend, Hubs asked if I heard any commotion outside when I was home. I didn't. Apparently, I slept through the good stuff.

When Hubby left for work in the morning, he noticed that someone who was not our neighbor was parked in our neighbor's spot. Our neighbor is Hubby's CW, who he was going to relieve, and since that same CW was going to then relieve Hubby later, when Hubby got to work he told Neighbor the situation and said to park in our spot.

Neighbor did not take too kindly to someone parked in his spot. (By the time he got back, it had been almost an hour from when Hubby first spotted it, and we figure it had likely been there all night while Neighbor was at work.) Neighbor had some of those stickers that police use to tag abandoned and illegally parked cars. They were leftover from when he had worked an event he worked security at a while back, and he used them to tag the offender's car. If you know anything about those stickers, you know they don't come off easily!

The offender decided to confront my neighbor about it. Hubby said the convo went something along the following.

OF: "Hey man, why did you do that?"
NB: "Why did you park in my spot? You don't pay my rent."
OF: "It was the only open spot."
NB: *points next door* "There is an entire empty school parking lot right next door."
    OF: *fishmouths and storms off*

(My note: the school has lots, and I mean lots as both pronoun and noun, of extra parking, and is okay with this. People all up and down the whole block use it for visitor parking/snow parking, and it's never been a problem as long as you don't leave your car parked there for days on end.)

Yeah, have fun scraping those stickers off, buddy!

        That would've been epic.
