The bad drivers are all out during the day, especially on Sundays, and today was no exception. Let me start by saying 2 weeks ago to the day, and almost the time, I was hit by someone who did not signal, nor check her blind spot before changing lanes. She drove right into me. And 10 minutes ago I nearly got in another accident.
I was at the gas station, parked at the building, facing away from the pumps. Someone was parked at a pump behind me. I didn't see anyone driving away from the pumps while I was backing out. Yes, I was turned around to look. I did see someone coming up from the right, so I was watching her. My next move was to check my rearview mirror, but I didn't get a chance to because the guy at the pump pulled forward and almost clipped me. I hit the brake because I happened to hear him and see him out the corner of my eye. He couldn't wait 10 seconds for me to pull out and right myself?? I do understand that the onus is on me, since I was backing out, but still, if you see someone back out, why pull forward into her path?
