Hubby and I noticed that in the UK, if the little old man in the car in front of us had on a hat, he would drive at least 10 mph slower than a hatless little old man.

It's the extra wind resistance.

Back when I was on a bike, my nemesis was men in an open top sports car (generally an MGB) with string back driving gloves and a flat hat. Almost guaranteed to be blind and pull out in front of you.

Driving a convertible, with the top down, at night, with no lights. Bonus points if it's below 30 degrees. Drunk much???
