Driving on patrol today, I was heading eastbound along the road between the mall and the parking lot. The car in front of me stopped at the mouth of the next row of cars and just...sat. I honked, because they cannot be blocking the road like that; if they intended to wait for a space they have to pull-into the row and leave room for traffic. They put on their signal but didn't move. Meanwhile, traffic behind me was forced to pass in the wrong lane, and I could not pass due to being between 2-pedestrian crossing signs. The parked car they were waiting on finally pulled-out of its spot and left and the car in front of me took off like a shot to get to that spot....Only they turned WAY too sharp and ran the right side of their Honda Civic over a grass island with an 14 inch curb They managed to back off the curb and got to their precious parking space, then for some reason shot me death glares while they checked for damage. Not my fault, I didn't make you drive like a maniac. That space wasn't even the only one, it was just 15 feet closer than the next EMPTY space!

PS. No damage, so no need for a report. They just acted like it was MY fault for them hitting the curb.

PPS. Remeasured, more like 14 inches. Whoops. Still a doozy though.

I have a strong dislike for people who try to claim my spot as I'm trying to pull out, especially if they're blocking all the traffic in a single row parking lot with a square lot further back.

Oh no, dimwit, you'll have to walk for 2 minutes instead of the 30 seconds it would take if you got my spot. Too bad you'll be waiting there for 15 minutes as I pull back into my spot, park and wait.

As for the curb bashing, I'm surprised they had no damage from that! Why is it always the assholes who get lucky when they are the ones at fault?
