See, here's the thing with me. I'm a walking map. <snip>
This means that my family (mother, grandmother and sister) and all my friends will call me whenever they are lost in Atlanta or trying to find somewhere.

LOL well then you must be my polar opposite cause I just moved to the Atlanta area and can't find a damn thing.

I've lived in Pittsburgh 30 years...and even I don't know everywhere Mainly because I didn't go downtown very much, and even if I did, my parents always drove. I can get to the Civic Arena (where Dem Pens play!), Station Square, PNC Park/Heinz Field, etc. but most places downtown, I'm SOL. Even now, I don't go down there much--why would I, when we have the *exact* same stores out in the 'burbs?

Lately though, I've been learning the city, and have found many shortcuts...mostly on the way to/from work. Most were out of necessity (trying to avoid traffic/construction), but some were out of stupidity (taking a wrong turn)

Heh, I'm great at the wrong turn thing.

I was given the nickname "Queen of the Scenic Route" by my group of friends because I would regularly get distracted and miss my turns. I'd never get lost, but the routes I took were rather less than direct.

One night, coming home from a concert at The Greek Theater in Griffith Park I managed to turn the wrong way trying to avoid traffic and went around Echo Park on three sides. A lovely area at 1am, I assure you.

In giving directions, I'm stellar. I just can't always manage to follow them.
