Ah, cones. Just pretty ornaments, right? Wrong, SCs!

We use cones for various purposes, one being to block off the entrance whenever we're closed, another to close off a pump for whatever reason. A lot of customers seem to think that in order to make a pump open, or to make the petrol station be open, all they have to do is move the cones. Once we had a pump which was completely fucked due to a customer having driven into it. We taped it together with black and yellow tape, put a sign on it and surrounded it with cones... and still had idiots moving the cones and trying to use it. And then coming inside the kiosk to whine that they couldn't use the pump.

Funny thing was the ads still played on the radio, as if corporate wasn't aware our area had been abandoned.
I know that feeling. I live in Fairfax County, next door to Herndon, and I'm CONSTANTLY seeing commercials for Checkers (a drive-thru food place) and other chains whose nearest locations are in Manassas, which is at least a 30 minute drive away. (And then another 30 min drive back.)

I remember the first time I saw a Sonic commercial. At that time the closest one was out of state on a 45 min one way drive. At least the food was worth it.

Yeah, but I can't eat there, towed too many of their drivers for trying to annex the parking lot next door, that doesn't belong to them. At this point, I MAY order a pizza from them, just to immediately take it up to the chem lab on campus and see what they put in it.
Hah. Honestly, their Pokey Sticks were better than the pizza. My Grandmother lived at the Towers there on S Allen so I could just walk over .
