Wow I don't know if it's the weather but today was national asshole day. It was extra fun since I got to work 9 hours cuz nobody knows how to schedule right.
This lady took the cake in idiot land.
SC: I want to write a $500 dollar check.
Me: Okay, can I get your ID and players card please?
I look her up and see her credit line is only 150. Meaning whenever she wrote a check last she purposely chose this as her credit limit and had written two checks from it a few years ago.
I checked her casino play. Which is how much she has been spending. We base it on play. You don't play here, we won't give you more money. Simple.
Me: Oh, I see you have a line of 150.
SC: NO. I want 500!
Me: looks like when you set up back in 2011 you set it up as 150.
SC: I did not. Every other casino lets me cash a check for whatever I want! I don't understand why you won't let me! I am staying here!
I went into the back and talked to the SV. Her play didn't warrant her to get 500. SV told me she could have 400. I think that was reasonable. She had only lost 250 in the last year. She was lucky to get that.
me: I talked to my supervisor and based on your play she says we can do 400.
SC; Um no, I need 500! Why is that so hard!? I play at all the casinos! I have lost a lot of money at all of them!
Me: um, we're not all connected.
SC: the other casino said you were! They told me whatever I loose there applies at all!
Me: (trying not to laugh) I don't know who told you that but that's simply not true.
SC: I'm writing the check for 500.
ME: No. We can do 400.
SC: I don't know why you're making it so hard!
At this point I got my SV and told her I have had enough.
SV goes out there and tries to explain it to her. She STILL doesn't get that we're not all connected, no we can't magically see what's in your account and no you're not getting 500.
SV asked if we could see funds. Like if she could listen to a balance or see what's in her account. We can't access it but she can and if she showed us we'd be happy to give her more. She refused by saying we were making things too difficult for her.
She just cried like a baby about how mean we were and how difficult we are making her life. Adult Tantrum.
Unlucky for her she got a SV who isn't spineless and won't put up with her shit. She gave her the options and told her take it or leave it.
She wrote the check for 400 and was nice as pie after. Strange. I wanted her to go away.
