Lying jerk of a guest

This guest who stayed at the hotel last weekend filled out our on-line survey and said that she called down after hours to find out where there was a place to get food at that hour. She stated that I said "nowhere" and hung up on her.

This is what actually happened. We are a small hotel in a small town. When she asked I told her that the 24 hour McDonald's was the only place that had food at the time. This was not the answer she was looking for because she hung up on me.

What really bothers me is that corporate will believe a customer over an employee, even when you can prove the customer is full of crap...

That sucks. I already know that unless something truly abysmal happens between now and the 21st the hotel we are staying at will be getting a wonderful review. The poor maid was using the evil sucking device and my poor already twitchy cat had a howling, running around frantically looking for a hiding place anxiety attack so we had housekeeping make a note to not use the vacuum in our room.

That does suck. I hope you don't get in trouble for it. People can be so mean sometimes. AD, was the fire in your pic the reason you are living in a hotel? If so, I'm sure glad you were able to get all of your furbabies out.
